Tuesday, Sarkozy signed agreement for permanent military base with UAE, the first to break USA's sole role there. Makes way for construction of 2 nuclear power plants in Abu Dhabi. Good discussion on the thrust of the new French government. In 1995, they breached Britain's sphere of influence by signing a military agreement. |
