| ...and it ain't pretty. Now we know why Bush and Ambassador Crocker have been trying to ram the 'Status of Forces' deal through by July, bypassing Congress and an Iraqi referendum. The lopsided agreement includes perpetual immunity for US troops and contractors, control of air space and 50 military bases, undermining Iraqi sovereignity and giving US troops a permanent 'free hand' in Iraq. |
