At least 20 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq in May, the most since last September, and more than 50 wounded. Iraqi casualties are, as usual-and in both categories-at least ten times that number. Iraqis joining for the usual reasons: their countrymen and women being detained, tortured, and raped by occupation forces and their Iraqi collaborators, the destroyed infrastructure and the suffering that accompanies this. |
