| U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman of California said to Congress that individual members of the House were threatened with martial law within a week if they did not pass the bailout bill. Since Posse Comitatus was suspended by executive order just over two years ago, Bush has the legal authority to use troops recently mobilized for the first-time-ever to do 'homeland duty.' Coincidence? |
