Why this is so is best understood in the words of H.L.Mencken, the Sage of Baltimore: The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.The effect of the political interest in climate change has been the violation of Newtons Third Law. |
