The new head of Canadian PM Stephen Harper's speech-writing department is a former Calgary Herald columnist notorious for his outspoken opposition to equality. 'It's time we reclaimed the word 'discrimination' for polite conversation, and... dump our obsession for equality,' he has said in reference to granting gays equal rights.
