Image from a quicklink In his ongoing pre-trial hearing in Fort Meade, Maryland Wednesday, Manning's defense team offered in a plea notice that he would take responsibility for leaking at least some subset of a collection of classified documents that include hundreds of thousands of files about the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars, a quarter million secret memos from the State Department, as well as the video of a U.S. Apache helicopter firing on journalists and civilians in Baghdad, in exchange for prosecutors' pursuing lesser charges in his upcoming trial.
