| The ABC network has refused to air an advert produced by Al Gore's environmental group, ruling that its charge of US government favouritism to the oil industry is too 'controversial' for television. An unseen narrator states that climate change can be combated through wind and solar power as well as 'end[ing] our dependence on foreign oil'. Ed.
