|"The Can Kicks Back" is a faked grassroots operation trying to convince everyone that young whippersnappers these days just adore the idea of more tax cuts for the rich, more taxes for the working poor, more health care cuts for the old and desperate, and more social security cuts for everybody. It is actually being run out of the DC Beltway office of two old-rich-white-guy groups funded by the billionaire conservative Peter G. Peterson. But never you mind that: it's millenial! It's grassroots! It's hep to the street!
How hep? Well, not at all hep, actually. Last week, as a month-long campaign through November drew to a close, The Can Kicks Back had only attracted 13 actual followers willing to participate in its pro-fatcat "grassroots" social movement, out of a desired 10,000 followers...
