What explains Obama's bad performance?

President Obama has so far been a huge disappointment. Instead of giving us change, he's given us more of George W. Bush: corporatism, corruption, handouts to the rich, and militarism.

Which of these hypotheses best explains Obama's poor performance, in your opinion?

A similar poll appeared in September of 2009.

Obama is too idealistic and should abandon the irrational policy of bipartisanship.
Obama wants to do what's best, but the forces arrayed against him are just too powerful.
Obama's been threatened with retribution, even violence, if he goes too far with reform.
Obama solicits and embraces bad advice from Rahm Emanuel and others.
All of the above.
Obama is a closet conservative. He never intended to enact real change.
Other, or the question is misguided (please explain in the comments).
