Poll Was Wanda Sykes Right? Recently, OpedNews carried an article I wrote: Wanda Sykes Takes Aim and Pierces Limbaugh's Treasonous Heart. In the article, I explored Sykes definition of treason and whether it truly applied to Rush Limbaugh. In the comments section of the article, the majority was of the opinion that Limbaugh was not treasonous, but was simply utilizing his rights of free speech. Admittedly, I was surprised by the lop-sided disagreement with my analysis on what is generally considered a “liberal” and/or “progressive site. I did find a lot of value in the opposing views—most well thought out. Yet, I am intrigued enough by the responses to open the whole matter up to a poll. Wanda Sykes said: "Rush Limbaugh said he hopes this administration fails, so you're saying, 'I hope America fails', you're, like, 'I dont care about people losing their homes, their jobs, our soldiers in Iraq'. He just wants the country to fail. To me, that's treason."
