Should presidents have blank check in extra-judicial murders?

The U.S. Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair in congressional testimony last week said, "Being a US citizen will not spare an American from getting assassinated by military or intelligence operatives overseas if the individual is working with terrorists and planning to attack fellow Americans."

Most Americans and justices find this an appalling trend away from constitutional rights providing all citizen with the right to have a fair trial before being punished for a crime.  Others oppose the current Obama and Bush extra-judicial murders for other reasons in the constitution.  What about you? Do you agree with Blair?

I don't have an opinion.
In most cases, the good in extra-judicial murders doesn't outweigh the bad blowback.
In some cases it may be acceptable to allow extra-judicial murders.
No way should the president have such a right.
Of course, in all cases American safety is more important than individual liberty.
