Should non-profit cooperative groups and workers be supported more in 2009?
The support that is meant here is "support from governments and legislatures to aid workers into taking over companies and media conglomerates in the USA."
In recent weeks, the Chicago Tribune and The New York Times have either declared bankrupcy or been seen selling off private property to help make ends meet.
All over the USA, there are workers who have no or little voice in what is happening to their companies in a downturn which has resulted from bad government oversight, bad government legislation and badly run firms that have hardly ever been concerned with working Americans' needs.
Does America need to back up workers by making it illegal for right-to-work states to hurt workers power? Does American need to see functioning cooperative ownership blossom as is hardly ever the case today?
The polling question is specifically:
What can governments do to facilitate empowerment of individuals and collectives of employees to take over the means and administration of production and services in America in 2009?
