Should activist, citizen, and advocacy groups go to the DNC or RNC to protest?
I believe this poll will help us have an important discussion and would greatly appreciate hearing from members of the OEN community and others on this.
I am friends with people who have decided to go to the DNC over the RNC based on the fact that we do not want the world to think every American thought the last few years of Bush's powergrabbing, unconstitutional policymaking, reckless foreign policy, and Big Business agenda at the expense of the people was all a result of Republicans in this country.
The Democratic Party is very much to blame for Bush/Cheney still being allowed to rule this country. Torture and wanton destruction of people must not be allowed to continue under a future Democratic administration.
That said, I want to know what others are thinking. Has Democratic spinelessness and complicity prolonged this administration's reign of terror long enough to warrant a mass protest at its convention?
Should activist, citizen, and advocacy groups go to the Democratic National Convention or the Republican National Convention?
