Should We Punish

Some say that Obama and Congress should focus on the future and forget about the past.  Let bygones be bygones.

Others point out that Clinton did this at the start of his term, letting Bush, Perle, Cheney and others off the hook offenses during the Regan and Bush administrations before his; the result was that these people re-grouped, attacked him and later came back to pick up where they left off.  These people argue that no way should these people and their deciples be let off again.

What do you think?

No one is above the law. Investigate, prosecute, punish.
Let bygones be bygones. Look to the future and forget the past.
Investigate and make offenses public, but forgive past sins.
A fair trial in the U.S. is impossible, so invite the world court to take over the issue.
I have another idea that I explain in a comment.
