Should Obama close down the School of the Americas?

We have been subsidizing the training and promotion of assassins and dictators at Fort Benning in Georgia since the eighties, called the School of the Americas (now slyly re-named Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, a la Blackwater.)
The Honduran "coup" has the SOA's ugly pawprints all over it.
Isn't it high time Obama issued a signing statement to close down this abomination?

Yes, Obama should issue a signing statement to close down the SOA immediately
No, the SOA is necessary to protect our democracy, even if it trains dictators
Not Sure (please explain)
