Should House Pass HR 362, Calling for prohibiting of refined petroleum products to Iran

House resolution HR 362 instructs President Bush to prohibit the export to Iran of refined petroleum products. Some say this could be used by Bush to justify a naval blockade, which could then escalate into a confrontation with armed hostilities.

Want to hear what bill endorser Robert Wexler (D-FL) has to say about it? Download my interview (MP3 file) with him last night here.

What do you think of this legislation?

1- Good idea as is. It will further put pressure on Iran to stop it's Nuclear development.

2-Terrible idea. This gives Bush/Cheney excuse they need to go to war with congressional approval.

3-Good idea if it is restricted to economic actions and coupled with language forbidding any military action, including a naval blockade.

Bad idea
Good idea if military actions excluded
Good idea.
