Should Clean Energy Alternatives Be Fast Tracked?

Not surpringly, clean energy generation is being held up, in many cases, for years, by lawsuits filed by special interests. These are aimed at protecting environment, endangered species, or "not in my backyard" zoning reasons (particularly wind energy and solar.)

Recently, the government fast tracked the southern border fence, by giving it priority over zoning and environmental protection laws and the like. The question is, should a similar fast-tracking approach be taken to speed up the development of alternative clean energy solutions, since these will decrease the use of fossil fuels and the resultant pollutants and environmental damages caused by fossil fuel usage.

Yes. Fast track.
No maintain protections
Not sure
