Should ACLU Release Another Impeachment Pamphlet?

Back on October 24, 1973, the ACLU released an "Impeachment Pamphlet" INFORMING the American people why the usurper Nixon had to be impeached, Link CLICK HERE http://mrzine.monthlyreview.org/aclunixon.html

FELLOW CITIZENS, you are now called upon to demand the escercise of congressional responsibility. WE seek to provide you a means by which to effect the peaceful overthrow of tyranny. There shall be no mistake about it, usurpers have acquired power in America. They seek to make it absolute. He and his aides lie to us on television and berate us for our disbelief. They confess to crimes against the Constitution and believe they speak exoneration.

No one can say for sure that their "Impeachment Pamphlet" caused Nixon's  resignation within months of the release, but nevertheless, their "Pamphlet" was hailed a huge success in that the ACLU substantially increased their membership for years thereafter. 

Today the ACLU is in the forefront of challenging the Bush administration repeatedly and openly criticizing Bushco for "running roughshod" and tramplying on the Constitution.

ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero at Executive_Director@aclu.org and aclu@aclu.org has made it clear to anyone who asks that it is the responsibility of Congress to provide oversight on Bushco, not the ACLU, and therefore the ACLU is not advocating impeachment.

However, no one has asked the ACLU to provide oversight on anyone, and there is certainly nothing wrong in INFORMING the American public why impeachment proceedings are urgently needed presently in defense of the Constitution and to preserve our democratic Republic. Certainly, that would be a noble endeavor to undertake on the part of the ACLU National Board.
