Men, Are you drawn to sleep with the tv on?

I met a self-proclaimed alchemist some years ago who said women were more magnetic and men were more electric.  I, as a woman, felt so wonderful in the closer-to-the-pole magnetic field in the Arctic last year where I went to give a seminar.  There were hardly any electrical fields there, no night industry, no cell phones, etc.  There is a drinking problem there and I wondered if the men possibly need more electrical fields being more electric and if they can't get sharged up enough, they drink to avoid the incongrous feeling inside. The other day, I was thinking how my recent past fiancee couldn't sleep without the tv on, as if to balance his electrical field.  He also likes to drink alot, which is the Arctic problem.   The therapy, then would be sleeping rooms for guys to get recharged, like how light therapy helps in winter SADD (seasonal affective disorder. 

 My question is this: Men, are you drawn to sleep with the t.v. on, and if you are, do you also have a favored relationship with alcohol?
