Johnny Got His Gun

On a recent trip to Arizona, I stopped by a gun shop with a couple of friends. They had their guns with them and we wanted to do some shooting. In the old days we used to just drive out to the nearest wash and set some cans up and shoot away. Not any more. Another thing changed ; we didn't get around to shooting because as the store clerk said "we picked a bad day". It was a Sunday and Church was out. Go figure. Having said that.................

Q: Do you exercise your constitutional right to bear arms ? (simply owning a weapon counts as a YES imho as you don't have to carry the weapon around with you to be an arms bearer or bearer of arms by definition)

Please feel free to refrain from choosing or from exposing yourself but please also add any comments you may have on the subject. Personally speaking, I grew up with weapons of all kinds. It was natural for a kid to carry a bow & quiver full of arrows at a very young age and at age ten, my birthday present was a rifle. My love of weapons carried on into my military duty and to this day, my favorite weapon is the M16 as I know that piece inside out and can take it apart and put it back together in the dark without a problem. Well, used to be able to. Used to because my opinion changed and I no longer bear arms. Now I'm split between buying one or two and continuing what I have called a "more peaceful way of living" by banning all arms from my house, because I 100% believe in the adage "live by the sword, die by the sword". Problem being, I'd rather live with the sword in my hand while the other guy splits. I'm really, honestly split (not) on this. Thus my poll. Thanks in advance for your participation and for any comments this may reap. I know it's a hot subject. Forgive me for bringing it up but it really is on my mind.
