Is Specter Conversion Good or Bad For Dems and America?

    

For the next 20 months, having Arlen specter as the 60th "Democrat" could be a good thing. But he was going to be creamed in the primary by Pat Toomey, a right wing extremist who had zero chance of winning in PA. If Harry Reid and the Dem party back Specter in the PA Democratic party primary, it could take away a very likely win for a real Democrat in the PA senate race.

 

Specter's move, over-all, is Good
