Is OpEdNews Too Tough on Obama and the Democrats?

We don't "commission" articles. We get what comes in and publish most of the articles that are well written and thoughtful. 

We reject articles from right wingers that appear to be pasted in or close-to-pasted-in collections of right wing talking points. 

We have published a lot of articles which criticize Obama or some Democrats or the Democratic party in general. 

Once he was elected, OEN took the policy that we would hold his feet to the fire. We're doing it with a hot fire. 

Personally, ever since I learned that Obama had a hand in sabotaging the inclusion of the public option in the health care bill, to the extent that he cut a deal with hospitals and big pharma, I have been very disappointed in him and no longer trust him. I've called for primarying him. 

Some people say we are being too tough on Obama and on the Democrats. Some say we have been inflexible. They allude to OEN as among the progressives who are hurting the Democrats because we have not been willing to settle for what the Democrats have accomplished. 

My take is that Obama is a massive disappointment, not only in terms of his horrible appointees, with the exceptions of less than a handful, but also because he has proven to be an ineffective leader. 

The purpose of this poll is to ask our readers whether we're being too hard on Obama, and on the Democrats but to also get a conversation going on this. Are we being so tough that we've lost you or could lose you as a reader or active part of the community?

Are we straying from our roots, from our history?

Are we staying true to the vision and mission that started us on this journey?

I get emails from people saying that what we're doing, criticizing Obama, is hurting him, hurting the chances for the Democrats in November.
