Socialist Party USA has been around since 1973.
Eugene Debs as a candidate representing the party, creating an influence that has lasted over 100 years.

Capitalism does not work for working people today. We can see that for the growing movement of Occupy Wall Street and the numbers of unemployed.

What is Socialism? What are common misconceptions?

All the failures we see in Washington are a result of the two corporate parties and corporations.

Socialism-- workers should control means and resources of society.

We see Washington today, they are re-writing the constitution.

free education should be available to all students.

We need to be able to control our government, our resources, based on taking care of human needs rather than protecting corporate.

In 1930's in the US we used different aspects of socialism to rebuild the USA.

Socialism is not perfect but it offers better tools that work for the benefit of our society.

Socialist countries-- south america-- Venezuela, Cuba--
Cuba is socialist under a dictatorship.

What would the US look like as a socialist nation?
