Those in power in this nation whether it is political, corporate, and religious or otherwise, are in power because too many people do nothing.
As much as I commend blogging for disseminating a message that flows against the torrential currents hurled by the mass media, the best way to effect change is to infiltrate the instruction you wish to change just as they have. I.E. start stacking the deck back in our favor instead of theirs.
Go join or start a political party any political party run for a local office attend town hall, city council meetings. Dwight D. Eisenhower put it thusly:
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition
of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the
military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of
misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our
liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted.
Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper
meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with
our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper
together."
The one thing he left out of this speech is that it is not sufficient to be an alert and knowledgeable citizen we must be active in the councils of government to cause change. The only thing required for evil to trimputh is for good people to do nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
