We awoke, we voted, we won!

::::::::

There will be time for punditry tomorrow.  Tonight, it is time for celebration.  And thanks.  And hope.

There is a Greek expression as regards responsibility:  Half yours, half mine.  Obama, of course, and his team deserve the highest praise and congratulations for his victory.  But, the American people also woke up and recognized that as they cheered the Democrats with "Yes, we can!", they fought the neo-cons and fascists with "No, you won't!", mounting an attack on voter fraud through vigilance and overwhelming, assertive turnouts.

Perhaps this time the voting public listened to the wise words of our soon-to-be former President.  "Fool me once...uh...won't get fooled again!"

Jill Jackson is a writer, mother, wife, military veteran, and hard-core pacifist and liberal. She swallowed the red pill after 9/11.
