I'm watching the aftermoon replay of Joe Biden's interview on Meet the Press, and one of the first things brought up, was Sarah Palin's nonsensical line about community organizers not having any "actual responsibilities." I was waiting for him to say what a gratuitous swipe it was, not only at selfless community service, but at the churches that sponsored Barack Obama on the south side of Chicago.
I was waiting for him to point out that Obama - the first black president of the Harvard Law Review - could have made a mint right out of law school. But instead, he went to help the very people who were suffering from the kind of economic policies that the Republicans have long championed, and that he was promoting the same kind of self-reliance that Republicans say they believe in.
I was waiting for him to say that Sarah Palin actually knows nothing about the responsibilities of being a community organizer, but that her resume does not prepare her to potentially be the next Commander in Chief.
Instead, Joe Biden grinned broadly, and said to Tom Brokaw: "It was a great line." With attack dogs like these.....
