If the eye of tropical storm Fay stays south of the coastline as it tracks westward then it will be over very warm water.  This could allow it to rapidly gain stength as it travels from Florida towards New Orleans. If that were to occur then it could easily become a cat. 3,4. or even a cat. 5 storm with the north side pummeling the coast.  Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope the eye stays north of the coastline so that it will not strengthen. In the  meantime I'll be biting my nails....
