IMHO LAWYERS are the main cause of insane HEALTH CARE COSTS due to all the frivolous lawsuits and resulting 'CYA Medicine' where doctors are afraid of being sued and so are essentially forced to order all sorts of tests that patients don't really need. Of course, most politicians are lawyers and as such they will never 'do the right thing' to fix the problem ( bc they aren't about to take $ out of their own pockets). And so it seems we have a seemingly unfixable CATCH 22! I say that GETTING LAWYERS OUT OF MEDICINE IS THE ONLY ANSWER! So I would prefer a system that allows universal health care for all CITIZENS (not illegal aliens) that at the same time allows for NO LAWSUITS! If we could do that health care costs would plunge. And yes I would be more than happy to take the pay cut that idea would entail.
