Bernie Madoff should have pleaded innocent and took the case to trial. This case would have given the O J Simpson case a run for its money and would have been the trial of this century. Unlike O J, I'm pretty sure Madoff would have been found guilty, although a Zionist Jew could have hung the jury. Bernie's sentence right now is I think 15 to life, of which he will probably die in prison.
Now why should Bernie be given the death penalty? For the same reason if a person dies from a drug given to him from someone else might be tried for murder. Bernie is not only a thief, but is also as directly responsible for as many as 6 deaths due to his actions. I know of at least 2 and others have been mentioned. These people would probably still be alive today if it were not for Madoff's actions.
Now personally I wish him to live to 110 and die in prison. There have been people executed with evidence of an eyelash and some were found to be innoccent and most did not cause nearly the damage that Bernie has. The judge was oh so right to immediately incarcerate Madoff as he might have gone the way of Ken lay, who I believe is holed up in Paraguay somewhere. The laws should be stricter for this magnitude of crime. In China we know Madoff would be flied lice. I am personally against the death penalty, but as long as the Feds since 1988 have it, I think Bernie qualifies.
We all know this case stinks to high heaven and just like Timothy Mcveigh, they are rushing this through as fast as they can. I'm sure most of the money can be found stashed in a kibbutz in Israel.
