Finding a better way to live and relate to each other. Finding a better way of governing our relationship with each other.

It is my understanding that Religions, laws and even governments were instituted not to rule over us but to protect us from one another. Hammurabi's code or the ten commandments or the still later Sermon on the mount were guidance for us to live by that we might work together for the good of all. So what went wrong? Why the wars and greed? Why the hording of money and resources by a few at the detriment of the many? Why the killing and destruction either by the corporations, the drug lords or in our name by our government? Is it because evil people have taken over our religious and government institutions? I think so. Thus I will not give my allegiance to any of them. I will not stand by and allow them to use the rule of law to steal food out of the mouth of babes nor to make war in my name. I will stand up and say they are wrong and I will shout from the housetops that their is a better way. Will anyone join me? Neither religion nor government should be above the laws that protect us from each other, it's that simple. So shout it to your neighbors, to your community and to your leaders, whoever they are. Start where you are by helping your neighbor and accepting his help in the every day occupation of living. Show a example don't be one. If you profess to believe in the Religious tenants of whatever religion you follow treat others with respect and understanding. If you believe the the equality of man stop the corporate greed that steals from the poor to make the rich richer. If you believe that mankind can and should find a way to live in peace and harmony with each other then walk your talk. After all thats in a nutshell what the founders of religions said and mostly did. Get together with your family, your friends, your church and your community and find ways to work for the betterment of all. After all as it has been said you are all GODS, act like one and respect the spark of Creator in the other.
