Wider group involved, FBI not acting and covering things up, silencing people, and so forth -- and finally a few facts bleeding out in dribs and drabs ignored by the mainstream media.
Remember the Maine, the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, Northwoods, the Gulf of Tonkin, Oklahoma City, Plymouth Rock, and the Golden Rule. Don't you get tired of it all? I do.
Now I'm sure everyone knows that I certainly would never try to encourage the nutty 'conspiracy theorists' who say the government was behind 9/11 ....... Still, I still don't what know happened on 9/11. I'll give you my gut feeling: there was a cabal of Americans who were involved with some of the Al Qaeda bunch, and between the two of them they licked the platter clean. Do the details matter? Maybe -- but not to understand it -- to 'grok' it. It's 'gut feeling' and I don't assert things or make decisions on 'gut feelings' much -- that's insane (like some presidents we know). I want facts -- and it's so much work to ascertain facts -- to argue a conclusion. But the intitutive part of me is still there. And that part says the nutty conspiracy theorists are on to something!
I am aware of the primary attribution error -- the fallacy that we can identify someone as being this or that and go just by that -- like saying Bush is lying fascist psychopath and concluding everything he says or does is insane, psyopathic lying. Nope -- that's not logically supportable -- but that doesn't mean it not true anyway. It just means we can't say it with certainty until we do the reseach and dig up the facts, if that's possible. Of coure that's often not possible because it's all covered up, and what many who should be in the know about it say are just more lies. But that's what this government is like (as well as most governments, I guess). That's what people who lust for power, who graviate towards power and government, are like, and that's who mostly ends up in government.

How could be a successful politician in a corrupt system if you were not corrupt? How could you become a "made man" and get through the roadblocks? How could you not pay your dues -- which are so high that the only way to have enough to pay them is by stealing the money, and compromising yourself? You can't, really -- not for long. That's how gangsters are. You can be a wolf in sheeps clothing, but trying to be a sheep in wolfs clothing cant be done -- sooner or later you can't eat another sheep and you are found out. You don't get by the initiation.
So you have to lie, and steal, and do whatever it takes to be part of the gang and get power, because the fundamental principle of the gang is to hide the truth, from eveyone outside, and ultimately from yourself. The One Ring of Power corrupts. That's how it works: read the books -- the Ring always works though deception, corruption, and psychic coercion. It doesn't shoot fireballs or lighting -- it makes you invisible. Invisible -- a form of lie, and the basis of conspiracy.
