With John McCain and Sarah Palin using "Joe, the Plumber"- to show how they "care"- for the average person it brings up the last set of plumbers used by the Republican Party. Those would be the Nixon Whitehouse Plumbers. This seems appropriate considering the tact that the Republicans have been taking over the last 8 years or so. I am not sure what is more unbelievable. The fact that the Republicans conveniently forget their past history or the fact that they live in a single pane glass house and continue to throw the most ignorant of stones.
McCain and Palin keep trying to tie Obama to some very(or not so very) ugly people when they themselves are glued to even worse criminals(including the former Whitehouse plumbers). For a twosome that are spouting off about how important experience is they do not seem capable of learning from their own. They accuse Obama of being involved with a Christian preacher and then turn around and accuse him of being a Muslim. They accuse him of being an Arab and then charge that he was born in Africa. They accuse him of being a liberal and socialist and then turn around and support government bailouts of the financial industries.
Obviously, logic is not one of their stronger assets. It almost seems as if they are not worried about what voters think. This does bring up the very real worry about voting fraud and vote stealing. What do the Republican candidates know about our upcoming election? Does Joe, the Plumber work for the Republican vote manipulators? It would seem that Joe may not be the patriotic person he is thought to be! Considering the last two presidential elections have had many discrepancies in voting and almost all investigations have been thwarted by Bush and his "pipe fitting"- crew, the upcoming elections integrity has little chance of being believable.
I would suggest that after the election we be given some kind of confirmation of how our vote was actually counted. Unfortunately, for every idea we come up with of validating our votes there is a plausible way of that vote still being recast for another candidate. Maybe we could use a show of hands and photograph it from space? No matter what we have to do to protect our vote the overwhelming fact remains that our country is in dire straits with no easy way out. Obama must be elected if we are to stand any chance of surviving much further!
