1. The Scene: I just saw some of the most horrendous torment I can imagine inflicted on living creatures. It’s no wonder to me at all why our country and our world are in such trouble, deep trouble. What I saw was the on goings inside several slaughterhouses. It looked a lot like what we humans do to other humans. It’s bad enough what we do to animals, so horrendous, in fact, that we are falling far short in our humanity to even let this sort of thing go on anywhere in the world. Yet we do.
2. What It Fosters: Apathy is the curse of inhuman behavior unrequited by anything human. Either it is that or some evil sickness we harbor within our most deeply hidden secrets. Whatever it is, it is stopping the human race from advancing to a higher level. Technology and science we have, but the true motivator of improvement is embodied in what we feel for one another. What we feel, who we care about. If we even care at all.
3. How It Parallels Into A Catastrophe: Evil promotes evil, discourtesy promotes more discourtesy. If our government is to ever again become a shining model to the world, it will only happen if it is an inner reflection of who we are. In a spiritual, even quantum mechanical sense, what we do in this world and in our country has a causal effect. We can bring about a better place, but only if that is what is in our hearts, our spirits and our emotions.
I saw the living hauled up by their rear leg, their throats cut, being dropped into scalding water while they were still alive and moving in such torment that they tore themselves apart, electrocuted, shot in the head with a type of nail gun, branding without any pain killer, being beat up until death comes on. It’s inhuman enough that there was an Auschwitz or the holocaust, that all these things have been done to humans.
And this goes on thousands of times each day, not to humans but to the creatures we eat. The cruelty of those working in these houses of slaughter or even in our prisons and within our current government for that matter, are flawed beings in dire need of help. At the very least they should be removed from society. What kind of parents do they make, what is becoming of their children. For those beings so troubled by whatever parents they were wrought from in the past, today are creating unneeded misery and disease by their actions and complicity.
It is too bad that the troubled people in this world are the ones who want power so badly, and go to any length to attain it, because they have no useful end in having power, less in creating misery for all they encircle. The nice people do the human thing nurturing and rearing children with feeling and caring for others. Not needing unlimited power and willing to create a diversity of ideas. For the power monger it only requires eliminating all competition for the slot of top dog, but they don’t really want the money, power and control. All they want is to kill everyone and then themselves. They have no positive plan that goes beyond their narrow vision; they have no plan for life or for living which goes beyond their bloodthirsty pursuit for oblivion.
4. The Change Is From Within: If we allow cruelty at one level on defenseless creatures, it will allow us to be just as evil to our fellow humans as it is to our counterparts. To worship evil and cruel governments as if they were tough and powerful, yet they and those who support them are the weakest and most cowardice of all living things, is to promote an end to all at some point. No amount of words changes this outcome alone. It is not just in the big obvious things that improvement is brought about but in the little things that are easily overlooked. A better world or a good government are the products of what is inside the people creating it.
