Somebody I know to be a Democrat, just referred me to that old Left Gatekeeper chart.http://www.leftgatekeepers.com/
And as I was looking at it for the umpteenth time, it finally struck me what was wrong with it.
You know it starts off at the top with the Trilateral Commission, Skull & Bones, and the Carlyle Group, and down at the bottom you'll find Amy Goodman and Noam Chomsky.
What if I drew it a little differently? Suppose I left the same things at the top, and then added some Trilateral and Skull & Bones Democrats to the chart, like Clinton, Gore, and Kerry. I could draw a direct line from the Carlyle Group to all the Democrats they've given campaign contributions to.

In the U.S. the Democratic Party is the biggest left gatekeeper of all. In order to support their Republican colleagues and maintain the stranglehold of the corrupt two-party system on U.S. politics, the Democrats, as the late Walter Karp explained so well in his book, "Indispensable Enemies," need to co-opt the left. They cannot do this by appealing to the left, since they have nothing to offer. So they do it by discrediting the left, which to them is anyone to the left of the Democratic Party.
I don't know anyone who thinks the Democratic Party is on the left, and most charts place it squarely in the middle of the political spectrum. In my opinion, however, a political party that is pro-war, should be placed squarely on the right.
There are legitimate criticisms from the left of people like Chomsky and Goodman. People on the hard or radical left see them as not being down with the revolution, not fully engaged in the struggle, and not open to truth research, therefore left gatekeepers. But the Democrats encourage this, as it is to their benefit to promote divisiveness on the left.
That old chart takes a lot of twisting, turning paths, and a lot of middlemen, before it gets to Chomsky and Goodman, and even then it cannot place them squarely within a box. There is no doubt in my mind that both are on the political left, although they may not be as far left as many would prefer. But it only takes a short, straight path, and often no middlemen at all, to connect any prominent Democrat you want to name to those evil organizations at the top of the chart. Clinton is a member of the Trilateral Commission. Kerry is a member of Skull & Bones.
Chomsky and Goodman are not. Both are providing valuable services to the bona fide left.
I can't say I blame either of them for avoiding the 9/11 Truth movement. They both have public reputations to defend. When I came out in favor of controlled demolition, and then later learned that it was more likely to have been energy weapons, nothing was lost. I wasn't fired from my nonexistent job, I wasn't lynched in the mainstream media for having gotten it wrong. But if either of them had done so, that's exactly what would have happened. The right would have said, "Well, they were wrong about this, so they're wrong about everything else too."
That "Left Gatekeeper" chart IS a left gatekeeper, and it has only enough truth to disguise the disinformation. Just another example of why we have to be cautious in drawing conclusions.
