No beef. No meat. Only bland tofu served up by toothless Democrats.

::::::::

When it comes to the most important things, the DNC convention has so far cooked up a bland menu of vegan tofu, ersatz chicken salad, and unsatisfying for Democrats who are hungry for red meat.

Where the hell's the meat? Where's the zest for "change" as in changing back the Constitution to it's original, unadulterated from?

Where was the mooing? Where’s the banging of knives and forks on the banquet table of speeches to kill the Patriot Act, give us back habeas corpus, stop the torture doctrine, burn down Gitmo, pursue war profiteers, stop private, protected armies like Black Water, stop spying on us, stop the long hand of the government from peering into every aspect of our personal lives?

Admittedly, I've been busy doing other stuff and only had time to watch the prime time players at the convention, so I don't know what the sous chef served up.

But it doesn't really matter.

What the master chefs had to say was far more important, and other than Biden's allusion to "fear of a call from the veep's office," they were mute on the most important things.

Yes, the economy, jobs, health care, education are all vital issues.

But without a solid Constitution those things don't matter squat.

We can be rich, have a mega job, be in the best of health and hold seven PhDs, and all that isn't worth spit when you're afraid that your own words of disagreement with government policy can brand you as a traitor, or your last name or a hundred other little things will land you on a watch list -- or worse -- a one-way ticket to Gitmo.

And we can't say it won't happen to us who are educated, comfortably middle class, healthy and have jobs.

Just look at what Bush Co and its master chefs have cooked up for their second-string chefs who haven't followed their recipe right down to the last half-teaspoon of anti-Constitutional poison.

Biden can be a firebrand; and his speech last night was a totally bland disappointment served up with lackluster enthusiasm.

Tonight is Al Gore’s turn.

Let’s hope he turns “green” into flaming red, that skewers and bar-b-qs John McCain into a crispy critter for aiding and abetting all the administration’s sins, but mostly…

Mostly for how they’ve attacked the American people and destroyed our Constitution.
