You can further your agenda with Op-Ed News, but it ain't free!

::::::::

I can’t help but notice that Rob has to sound the alarm each and every month in an effort to raise enough money to keep Op-Ed News on the air.

Op-Ed boasts some 25 Million hits per month. This site is also one that is directed at liberals and progressives of not only the U.S., but of the world. I thought that liberals and progressives were of the "share and share alike" discipline. You know, the give until it hurts crowd.

If a conservative site of the same readership numbers were to ask for donations at the same frequency as is necessary here, they would receive money to the point of no longer being non-profit. Look at the Limbaughs, Hannitys, Savages, etc. etc.

I hear the response already, “Yeah the rich throw money at these people to further their agenda.” So, then, why don’t you throw money at Op-Ed to further your agenda? I suspect the answer to that is, “We don’t have the money and that is why we want to tax the rich and take theirs.”

I know it pains many of you, but let’s do some math. Twenty Five Million Hits Per Month…that’s a lot. Turning hits into money, I come up with the fact that if it were worth a penny per hit to further your agenda, Rob would have $250,000.00 per month to spend on Op-Ed News.

Hmmmm, it seems there are some free loaders out there, or in this case, free readers. I sent in $50 so at a penny per hit, I’m paid up for 5,000 hits or, figuring I go to Op-Ed once every day, I’m paid up now for 13.69 years.

But this math thing doesn’t work for many. That’s why they like Dennis Kucinich’s economic plan; it doesn’t require a thing from them except collecting more from others. That is also why Kucinich has less than a 1% favorable poll rating on a national election basis.

I’m not much at scripture, but I recall something like, “The Lord helps those, who help themselves.”
