Ever looking for my Rachel Maddow fix, I exclusively watched MSNBC's coverage of the first night of the convention. After Michelle Obama's speech, many talked about how moving and impressive it was. Incomprehensibly, Pat Buchanan said, "Where's the Christianity,?" complaining that Michelle Obama made no specific reference to hers or Barack's Christian faith. The other members of the panel seemed a little dumb-founded, and there was little time left to the "panel" segment.
But, as much as I have been critical of Chris Matthews, I have to commend him for responding as soon as the camera came back to him, reminding Buchanan that this wasn't the Christian Democratic Party. Thanks, Chris.
