There's a war for our minds. The corporate media and our government censor our news, distort facts, slander the innocent, and inject propoganda into the mainstream culture. Most of us know this but feel helpless to do anything about it. Well, I would like to make you aware, if you aren't already, of a resource that's at your disposal to counter-balance these attacks.
If you ever use search engines to find out information (and who doesn't) you probably noticed a site called http://www.wikipedia.org that comes up first for just about every topic imaginable. This site is like an encyclopedia and has an enormous wealth of information. What you might not know is that YOU can edit it. That's right -- you -- can be an editor for this incredible resource. It's a community project and it needs your help. Because anybody can edit it, it often can reflect the personal biases of the volunteer editors, usually in the way of "ommitting" important facts.
If you've ever wanted to do something to help free people's minds, but weren't sure what you could do, this might be a plausible avenue for you. I am calling on anyone who creates articles here to duplicate their sourcable information into the Wikipedia. As long as you have a reliable source and follow Wikipedia's guidelines, you can add any reliable and significant information into the database. It is not a place for "original research" so you can't include your pet theories. But if a reliable source like a newspaper expresses your ideas, you certainly can include that information.
This is a good opportunity to "wake the people up". There is a lot of good information at this site. Consider Wikipedia for making this most important information available to a wide variety of people.
