The World Trade Center was really a glittering symbol of greed.

::::::::

Basically, the World Trade Center, was an icon, a glittering symbol of greed, jobs shipped overseas, and the death of America's middle class, to benefit a few corporate titans. As to how it would affect the people of the United States, economically, it was a disaster waiting to happen, well before it toppled.

Nothing justifies kamikaze pilots that killed over 3,000 people, but at least the perpetrators executed themselves, unlike Timothy McVeigh.

As far as the fruit of our current World Trade policy goes, what is there to celebrate?--a bankrupt America?--Depression era unemployment?--Skyrocketing fuel costs and pollution?--Obscene pharmaceutical prices?--Stock Market fraud and collapse?--Banking fraud?--Senators in the pocket of corporate crooks?--a pyramid scheme housing market?--Foreclosed homes?--Patient-killing Health and Hospital Insurance apparatus?--Declining life expectancy?--a Credit card con game that even has hooks into college students? Not to mention War, with its deficits--blood and treasure--that soars into billions, trillions, until money loses meaning.

Siphoning off middle class wealth was the lifeblood of the World Trade Center. Laying off union workers and workers in general was rewarded, like scooping up cream that sinks to the bottom, with huge CEO bonuses. These bonuses were the retirement funds, 401K's, and dreams of our children that CEOs stole.

There was nothing American about the World Trade Center. Although Americans worked there, it was a foreign investment, that benefited China and traitorous CEO's who sold us out, and shipped jobs overseas. They should have finished it, loaded the Twin Towers onto a barge, and shipped them to Dubai, which is what Bush, Cheney, and crew would have done, anyway, if they could. Just to hold hands with their Saudi friends and gaze upon their empire from afar.

Do I fault workers in the World Trade Towers? No, most of them were duped, like the rest of us, thinking they were doing God and America's work. They went down like the Titanic. Their family's or nation's grief can never be assuaged. The murderous act was purposeful. Revenge, however, will not make America a better or more prosperous country. It will only enrich the coffers of Halliburton's offshore billionaires

World Trade Center? Ironic, there was no center at all, it was a one way vortex, sucking jobs and money out of America and depositing them overseas. Nothing to worship or rah-rah about. The pinnacle that brought us down was no monument to god. The poor World Trade Workers?--like all of us, in a way, they were worker bees in the Tower of Babel. I would bring every one back if I could. But I would not build another WTC.
