Mike Huckabee had a good laugh with Jon Stewart on the Daily show about the name of the gov. of Illinois which' no one can pronounce'. Surely, they did not mention that ' Huckabee' most likely means a bee specializing in Huckleberry berries and ' Jon Stewart' is a pseudonym- the man has some Jewish name like Glickman or something. No biggie and nothing outstanding.
Blagojevich (spell - blago-ye-vich) is an ancient Slavic ( Serbian or Croatian) name and it means ' the bearer of the goodness'. Rod most likely ( I speculate) was baptized as Radovan which means ' the one that brings joy'. Both names are beautiful, very powerful and deserve a cultural praise, not some smirk from the governor of the state which Mark Twain (Sam Clemens) called ' the most stupid place in the US'. Here, Mikey, eat your checkers.
Speaking of names, we better look at some of the well known. Like Eisenhower ( or rather Eisenhauer) means ( I am not very sure of that but this is what I searched) 'a strike of iron'. That's the good name for the D- day Commander, right?
