Suddenly, there's 90,000,000 fewer flu H1N1 flu vaccine doses than previously anticipated. And the most interesting part of this story is the total non-interest that the 'media' is showing as to what has occurred. Every outlet repeats the exact same propaganda statements on the issue that they've been given.

And, this follows what looks from the outside to be a coordinated media campaign to convince Americans not to want the flu shots. Anyone on the left knows how the media can black out a story when they want. Who knows the latest on the Honduras coup for instance? But, lately the media has been filled with story after story about how people don't want the flu shots. Sure, the stories give the official line that it is safe. But the key thing to realize is that those stories wouldn't be on the air at all if someone didn't want them there.

Production delays ... that's the answer given. But, if you go to the business news about the companies making the vaccine, for example Novartis, you see a different picture. One would think that 'production delays' around a major contract delivery like this massive number of flu vaccines would be a big business story. Not being able to get these out to people should be a major hit on the company revenue. But, there's not a word about it on the business pages. Only that profits are up and the stock price is up on all of these companies.

So, what happened to all the flu shots?

Its also an interesting point that this shortage is suddenly sprung on the public. If it really is 'production delays', then people have known about this all along. You don't have an industry that supposed to make 120,000,000 vaccines only making 30,000,000 instead without someone noticing the shortfall until now. Lots of managers get paid to track exactly those sorts of production numbers. And lots of stock analysts get paid to pay close attention as well.

And here's another question, about those Senators, the ones who are all working so very hard to deny many Americans any decent health care, wanna bet that they all have access to the flu shots? They keep saying America has the best possible health care system. What they don't tell you is that its only for themselves, and others richer than they are.

Here's a thought. Since profits and revenue of the drug companies seem unaffected by the 'production delays', that seems to point to the vaccines having really been made. But, they weren't shipped to the government contracts that were in place. Instead, it seems possible that they've instead been diverted off to private buyers who could pay more.
