Obama's recent escalation in Afghanistan, I'm quite disappointed in him, over this action, to say the least, and as I do applaud all of you who protested against this latest, oncoming build-up in Afghanistan.
Yet, the fact remains, that throughout all of his 2007-2008 campaigning for President, the candidate-Obama, did repeatedly state that we needed a far more aggressive policy in the Afghanistan-Pakistan theatre of conflict(or "AFPAK," as some DEAD-HEADED corp[orate NEWS$-Hacks$, etcetera, now call it!), and he constantly criticized the Bush administration, for their having taken the needed resources away from Afghanistan, for Iraq's Valuable OIL WELL$$$ and Oil reserves, ah-hem, alright, for the "Iraq War and Occupation."
So we cannot accuse the now President Obama, of his having lied about what he intended to be, his admoinistration's Afghanistan policy.
(*Perhaps in his promised "withdrawal" of US Government troops{not including the "Private," US Taxpayers$ gouging, Contractors$) of Iraq, which his administration "claims is NOW happening," and they are only "technically right," on that one, wherein REGULAR US Army and other US Military troops have been, or soon will have been reduced by 16%, only to also see, in the same time period, the "Private" contractors$ increase in Iraq, by 52%, in this phony Iraq "Withdrawal" policy, one can surely claim that Obama has been, in effect, using the INCREAS$E in the Private Contractors$, to add force protection, I believe it's called, for the US Troop withdrawals, and that Obama has been playing with the truth, but in this area too[of Iraq] Obama, did ONLY{and please correct me if I'm wrong on this, as gaining information from good and HONEST sources, is what this piece is all about!] promise to withdraw the REGULAR Unied States, federal GOVERNMENT TROOPS from IRAQ[while again, he pledged to INCREASE them, in Afghanistan], so I cannot currently term Barack Obama an outright LIER on his currenht IRAQ Policy, either.
But if you have proof, of any LIES that can now be attributed to Barack Obama, re: his 2008 campaign promises, that have by now, at least, NOT been upheld in his present policies, then please DO list them ALL below[with their pertinent quotations, URL addresses, etcetera]in the "comments" section, for all of the Op Ed News community, and greater progressive community of citizens, as well, and I of course need such info for "rhetorical ammo," to use these facts against the obama administration, to try and draw Obama BACK to that 2008 candidate, who namely spoke in largely abstract generalities, about just what his-Obama's presidency would mean for America, from January 20, 2009 AD, onwards.
I remember, here in New Hampshire, Obama's campaign brochure that promised "CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN," which was practically omnipresent here in New Hampshire from late 2007 into January 2008[our state's primary was in the first week of January, 2008]and beyond, and I certainly can say that this current Obama administration, in the GENERAL, overall sense of the word's meaning has NOT been "Change," that I can at all believe in, other than in very minor policy areas, such as no longer using the FBI and the Justic Dept. to raid medical marijuana locations, which this is CERTAINLY, a great gain for those people needing medical marijuana, but this is not indicative of the major change that Obama was, to me, clearly impying, throughout his 2008 campaign!
Still, this is a general sentiment, that is, I haveno doubt, felt by many, many millions of American citizens, but while these generalities may seem powerful and yes even dangerous, in such mindlessly cruel gatherings as those "Tea Baggers" party astro turf "grass roots" gatherings and their kindred "events," one can rave just about any charges at President Obama at such mindless ah-hem get-togethers of "thinking"{NO WAY! No way are those gathered tea Baggers and Liberticidal "Libertarians$," and Chris$to-Corporatists$, to be considered "thinkers," at all, to even the most BASIC RECKONINGS, of any ADULT, be they an American Citizen, or not.)
But have you any specific quotes from rallies or interviews, debates,etcetera, that Obama made in the campaign, that he has now gpone back on? If you do, please do list them in the comments field, for our greater edification.
One specific pledge that I can find, currently, wherein Obama has apparently gone back on his word, is regarding the usage of "COAL TO LIQUID FUELS"
for energy usage, which I am against, but according to the web site, BusinessInsider.com, Obama did not fulfill, or has yet to fulfill THAT particular campaign pledge or promise, and apparently 6 more, in their piece, "7 Campaign Promises Obama Hasn't Kept," which is at:

Whatever information you may have on specific campaign promises, that Obama hath not kept, for We The People, the American CITIZENRY(and you are not,we are all NOT "Mere Cons$umers$, S$heeple, and Peasants$," fuedal Peasants$!) will be most appreciated!
