Director Julian Leigh shoots Emily Browning (Lucy) in a white medical lab. It is like endoscopy, laboratorian puts a rope into the Lucy's throat, it is hard.
Director Leigh is writer and director of film so we can talk about screenplay and shooting at same time.
Lucy is a sex worker, waiter, student, officer and patient; she develops herself abilities (She said). She doesn't have free time, she is busy always. She visits friend at home and she helps him. She is like a social worker for him (Birdman). She feels good while with him. She is younger and smaller and shorter than other girls.
What for does she strive? She burns money (100 Dollar), she doesn't have a family and home. (She stay with home friends, they are not kind.) She runs between hospital, school, office, bar and customers.
View is those till she introduces with mystic boss Clara (Rachael Blake).
Clara provides sex worker women for rich, elder and mystic customer. This is like a secret sect, a secret group therapy and sex sect. It is like Stanley Kubrick- Eyes Wide Shut Down. Lucy applies to Clara for employing in her secret service. Clara tests Lucy, questions, controls and some orders, rules what Lucy will obeys.
"Your vagina is a temple" said Clara and keep clean it always! Lucy surprises but she accepts. Have a rouge for your lips which color is same with your vagina, said Clara. But Lucy can't find right rouge and her friend looks at her vagina and finds right color.
Laboratorian puts a rope into Lucy's throat, her lips is rouged with vagina color and Lucy's second customer (An elder man) put fingers into Lucy's mouth. Man has erection problem and he really enjoys fingering her mouth. I just talk there are many oral and vaginal implications. Any man can't do vaginal sex with Lucy while she is sleeping, it is forbidden.
She just sleeps for her customers, she doesn't have free time, she is busy, she works every moment and she lies to floor at office just photocopy works. She just pays money for a good resident room and she is with bar friend. She sleeps with just "birdman', patient man who Lucy cares about.
Her elder customers have some problematic memories. Her first customer is sad because of he couldn't pleasure her dead wife. He tells a story to Clara while at head of sleeping beauty (Lucy). These men are pathological, hasn't got self-confident, poor, they are like patients of Freudian doctors. Hahaha!
Lucy is a sleeping beauty but her body works for men even while she sleeps. Men use her body while she sleeps with everyway (Out of vaginal).
She knocks the door coded when she goes to birdman home. Her mystic friend birdman dies (I think). Lucy had asked him whether he marries with her or doesn't. Answer is not known. She asks birdman's friend whether he marries with her or doesn't. He says, f.ck it. Marriage as simple as asked every moment every man, for Lucy. If everymen make love with every beauty so why can't Lucy ask the marriage? Hahaha! This is the clearest message at film. But not, men make love with every woman but they don't get marry with every woman.
Lucy drinks a cup of tea what Clara cooked for sleeping. Clara mixes the cup with shaving brush; it is really like a shaving brush. (If it is not a spoon what I haven't seen ever.) First elder customer said he wanted to drink same tea and wanted to sleep with Lucy at second "sà ©ance'. Lucy wants to record events when she sleeps at room. She records second sà ©ance and we see she and her customer sleeps from camera. Clara wants to awaken Lucy, she is like dead, Clara does artificial respiration in a stew, Lucy wakes up but elder customer dies, Lucy screams, film finishes.
Lucy leaves beads to floor in car while she goes to customer. I haven't understood what does this mean. The visual is wonderful while she is in bed and waits her customer as sleep, really wonderful. This is really epic.
At last frames we watch inversions. That story is the sleeping beauty and prince who comes with white horse and awaken princes by kissing, I remember. Lucy's last customer (First and last customer at sleeping sà ©ance) is an elder white hair man. He wants to sleep with Lucy and they sleep together during hours. Boss Clara comes in to room and tries to awaken Lucy but she doesn't wake up and Clara does artificial respiration in a stew, Lucy wakes up but customer doesn't wake up. I think he dies.
Lucy is waking up by kissing of Clara (Not any prince or another man, but a woman) and her white haired customer dies and Lucy screams. Because, she has never seen her elder customers before. She hasn't seen before or after sex and she shocked when saw that man is lying on the bed. Maybe, she shocked with scare backing from death or she scared that sleeping with died man. I don't know.
Comments and comments, but I believe that Sleeping Beauty is available for multi readings. Julian Leigh presents a rich film in Sleeping Beauty, much more sentences are possible. Many discussions are possible on sexuality, epic heritage, pictures, modern life and relations. But this is enough for me.
