The Afterword of Dean Hartwell's upcoming book Facts Talk but the Guilty Walk (due July 30) tells how our leaders set us up to believe big stories. Hartwell explains how they (via the media) blamed the events in Iran in the late 1970s on "Muslim radicals" who took our people hostage there. Then we "learned" that Muslim radicals killed US Marines in Beiruit in 1983 and later that some guy named bin Laden did terrorist attacks against us in the name of the Islamic faith.Never mind that these "Muslim radicals" are no more Muslim than those who kill abortion doctors are Christians. The public has bought into the perception that we should fear the Muslims. So the public bought bin Laden doing 9/11. People like Hartwell who say otherwise are cast as "conspiracy nuts" and worse.
We have just been put on again. This time it is Obama making the call for the big strike against bin Laden. The big news story of bin Laden's death overshadows the truth that he did not do 9/11. But the media is beyond that point. It is all about killing bin Laden and how that is patriotic.
Never mind that bin Laden, who was on dialysis, died in late 2001. Never mind the government has faked his image and voice and told us he "confessed." Never mind the government lies about Pat Tillman, Private Jessica Ryan and WMDs. People keep believing the big stories. Maybe they are afraid to be called "conspiracy nuts."
Bin Laden didn't do 9/11. And we know dead men talk. It is just that most people do not listen.
