In 2007, I began updating Vanunu's WIKIPEDIA page [1]
I quickly learned to always return, as my entries were either deleted or changed.
Last week I posted under "Release and Asylum Applications" the news of the Norwegian Lawyer's Petition with a link to the article published on Peoples Voice.[2]
It was deleted by the following day. I then reposted it with the link to Arbaisto [3]
Three days later, it remains:
* On May 15, 2008 The Norwegian Lawyer's Petition called on the Norwegian government to urgently implement a three-point action plan within the framework of international and Norwegian law, to grant Vanunu asylum and permission to work and stay in Norway. [IBID]
What also remains are the now dead links-36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 42; that once linked to articles I had written published at Peoples Voice, Oped News, Dissident Voice, Information Clearing House, Countercurrents and Arabisto that documented Vanunu's freedom of speech trial. All links now lead to no where at all.
2007
* While having dinner at the American Colony in East Jerusalem with a foreigner, Vanunu was arrested for the second time on a Christmas Eve.[36]
2008
* On January 7, 2008, the day before his appeal fighting the above sentence was to begin, Israel instead re-sentenced him to six months of community service.[37]
* On February 19, 2008, Vanunu wrote: "The court hearing today Feb. 19, was again postponed, because of a small snow here. We are waiting for the next hearing date" which would be "soon."[38]
Vanunu's appeal hearing was scheduled to resumed March 23, 2008, but on that date, he learned that it was rescheduled to May 13, 2008.[39]
* On April 7, 2008 Vanunu learned that Israel has continued the restrictions against him for the fifth year. On April 9, 2008 it was reported that Norway has joined Sweden, Canada and Denmark in refusing asylum to Vanunu.[40]
* On May 13, 2008 Vanunu wrote that although three judges attempted to convince the Government Lawyer to offer community service in East Jerusalem, it was denied. Vanunu's appeal fighting six months in jail resumes July 8, 2008[42]

It is apparent that particular cyber entities are working hard to obfuscate the truth about Vanunu's recent life in Israel. There is also nothing more revolutionary or powerful than the truth. "If you shut up the truth and bury it under the ground, it will but grow, and gather to itself such explosive power that the day it bursts through it will blow up everything in its way."- Emile Zola
After 22 years the truth has erupted that the greatest hope for full freedom for Vanunu comes by way of Norway and depends on the international community to lead Israel to see the win-win.
The people of Norway have risen up, taken to the streets [4] and petitioned their government to do the right and humane thing and grant Vanunu asylum. Lawyers have petitioned the government and have laid out a three point plan: http://www.vanunu.org/ to make it easy for the bureaucracy.
By doing the democratic, just and merciful thing and allowing Vanunu to leave the state, Israel will end all the bad PR Vanunu causes them every time he meets an international for dinner or a beer. If Vanunu is in the mood, he entertains his audience with the stories he has told for years. I wrote down many of them in my memoirs; Chapter 7: "Brother V" -all about his childhood in an Orthodox Jewish home, adolescent rejection of the faith, service in IDF, college activism, journey into Christianity and the history of his historic freedom of speech trial.
Vanunu has nothing new to say about Israel's WMD's since he said it all in 1986. He is tired of talking and has already said plenty to we the people in my 2005, 2006 and 2008 video interviews with him.[5]
Until Vanunu is allowed full freedom, he needs the support of Americans to petition their congress people that being a friend to Israel means helping them see the win-win in allowing Vanunu freedom of speech and the liberty to leave east Jerusalem.

Please be a friend to Israel and encourage them to give peace a chance, which is all Mordechai Vanunu, has been saying for the last twenty-two years. Vanunu is scheduled to return to court July 8, 2008. Please help turn it into his Independence Day and encourage Israel to reap some great PR by allowing him to leave.
