My Life....

::::::::

I am so young but have recently been diagnoised with Cancer. I wanted to have a lumpectomy and take my cancer killing herbs, but the Doctor's won't here of it. They insist that I have radiation. What are they nuts? Radiation has been proven to cause cancer. Since when am I not in control of my own body? Ask the AMA that. I was told that I would be hogtied and taken to radiation. Imagine that! I was lucky to find a Doctor to take my case. I was told that if my condition was anything else other than Cancer they would not take my case. What are the unemployed supposed to do if they can't afford the $1200 Cobra payment on unemployment? People are being turned away for major medical surgeries. W. Bush says go to the emergency room it's free. Well we all know emergency rooms don't operate for FREE. You have to be dying before you can get help. What about a nest egg? In this economy where my husband made the same amount of money he did 20 years ago who can have much of a nest egg. All my money was used to pay for medical bills that insurance wouldn't cover.  The Cancer Doc's want me to have chemotherapy.  However, they said the cost would be prohibitive for someone without insurance.  I didn't want there toxic cocktail anyway.

In addition to that my husband was recently downsized. He beats the streets everyday looking for work, but NO ONE is hiring in his industry. We have put our home that we have faithfully paid for, the last eleven years on the market, as we are unable to make the mortgage on unemployment. This home would have been completely paid for in 8 years. Unfortunately, the average time on the market is 8 months. I don't have 8 months. Two foreclosures in the area are selling for 12k less than what we paid for the home 11 years ago and they can now be used in appraisals. Does everyone understand what the foreclosure crisis is doing to their property values? There are 6,000 foreclosures everday. 600,000 since January 1st. The 400,000 people with adjustable rate mortgages might be helped if and only if there lender agrees to write down their mortgage. These mortgages do NOT help people who are unemployed. You can't get a loan if you are unemployed. This foreclosure mess has only begun . They are expecting 12 million foreclosures in the nation in the next 4 years.

I sold my home and moved to Virginia to live with my sister. Two weeks later I learn that the buyer had changed his mind.  I find a lawfirm to stop the foreclosure.  For a hefty fee they mitigate the loan.  I'm thrilled that the lawyers have made the mortgage company put the payments in arrears on to the back of the mortgage.  It mystifies me as to why the lender wouldn't do this to help me.  Why did I have to hire an attorney?  Now homes aren't selling and I have a mortgage payment due.   My husband finally found a job selling, but it pays alot less than what he used to make as a manager.  The sales are down 65% from last year.  Will anyone refinance my loan in this tight credit market, with my now whacked credit, so I can afford to make my payment?  I've tried finding a job to help out but because I'm disabled, I'm having a difficult time.  I've sales experience and a BA, but somehow I can't even get a job telemarketing.  In addition to that my brother - in law is an alpha male and making living here difficult, especially for my husband.  My poor daughter must live out of her car because the house is "too crowded".  Believe me this is a huge home.  So much for living with relatives.  I can't wait to get out of here.  We are paying for groceries and my sister lived with me for a year, and I never asked her for a dime.  Oh well.
