BNP leader Nick Griffin lays out the case before the EU Parliament that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is an elite scam; an unproven, cult belief system based on fraudulent statistics, and whose minority "consensus" is built upon the denial of science and the brutal suppression of dissent from the scientific community majority (http://www.petitionproject.org/).
In light of last week's Climate-Gate revelations, one thing strikes me as scarily odd: It doesn't seem to faze the science deniers one bit that the data upon which their entire AGW belief system is built has been proven corrupt, and the scientists along with it.
In this linked video http://vimeo.com/8023097 Lord Christopher Monckton calls out the individual, fraudulent CRU scientists by name and lists, one-by-one, their crimes against science and intellectual decency.
The dismissive attitudes of the AGW believers toward the blatant, repeated, and intentional miscarriages of science and the earth-shaking implications demonstrates a sheer contempt for how science does, and should, work.
Science has nothing whatever to do with consensus building; yet, it's the chief argument the AGW conspiracy theorists peddle.
The AGW cultists continue to grasp at any straw and resort to whatever "angle" they can dream up to promote their cockamamie belief system -- so long as it doesn't involve a thorough investigation of the science and source data by anyone outside their cloistered, "peer-review" cabal.
All we ask for is an open forum for debate on the AGW belief system before we sink the planet into carbon-tax madness.
However, rather than open the door to healthy scientific debate, the Global Warmers slam it angrily and go on the attack. They rely upon prodigious amounts of ad hominems, propaganda, distractions and political double-think to make their "case."
Better yet, their "scientists" deliberately destroy their source data in a premeditated effort to prevent the possibility of any future refutation of their bogus sham.
And when all this nonsense fails, they pull out two old stand-bys: 1) assume the role of victim, and 2) raise the specter of (cyber-)"terrorism."
Yawn.
The science deniers cry "foul!" when their own deceit is brought to light. They insistently (and ridiculously) point to long-discredited data ("Hockey Stick," anyone?) whenever contradictory evidence proves their hypotheses incorrect. And they have the unmitigated arrogance to believe they can "save" a planet that will outlive every species on it, especially humans.
We have graduated from flat-earthers to dying-earthers, with each belief system as ludicrous as the other and based upon equal amounts of scientific proof.
While the subject of how the emails/data were obtained (btw - they were leaked; not hacked) may be of interest to politicians or "journalists," it is of little importance to scientists. So long as the data is uncorrupted and can be tested through experiment, its source is largely irrelevant.
The verdict is in and the CRU was wrong.
The numbers don't lie, but scientists do - especially, as the CRU has shown us, when they've got an insidious agenda they're paid handsomely to promote.
This is all much bigger than a couple leaked emails or mathematical "errors."
For humanity to survive, Copenhagen must fail.
