Personal data on more than 2.2 million active-duty military personal-not just 50,000 as initially believed were amoung those stolen from Veterans Affairs empoyee LAST MONTH, the Government said Tuesday. The lier Secretary Jim Nicholson daid the agency was mistaken (ya right) when it said over the weekend that up to 50,000 Navy and National Guard personal-and no other active-duty personal-were affected by the May 3rd burglary. (If you believe this one I got something to sell you)
In fact, names, birth dates, and Social Security numbers of many as 1.1 million active-duty personal from all armed forces, along with 430,000 members of the National Guard, and 645,000 members of the Reserves are included.
(Now you see why the Republicans are running out their wedge issues.
Look the GAO since 2000 have been warning the Secretary and the Republican House Veterans Affairs that this could happen)
Now whether you believe in the war or not. Just imagine your a soldier in Iraq .What can you do about this? Now these kids have to worry about their lifes being stolen. What are they supose to call Ghost Busters
