Opednews.com is a not-for-profit 501C3 organization. We depend heavily upon contributions from our supporters to pay our bills and continue operating. We need to raise another $1350 $675 in the next three two days day and a half to meet our minimum budget needs.
Monday, we had over 13,000 visits to the site and THREE donations. Yesterday, with over 13,400 visits, we had 13 donations and that took us really close.
Yesterday, I did an extraordinary interview with Joseph Nye, described by Wikipedia as one of the most influential American foreign policy scholar in the past 20 years, and the sixth most influential scholar, period. We talked about his books, SOFT POWER and THE FUTURE OF POWER. We talked about smart power, about failure to use smart power, about the role of bloggers and the new media. This is a guy who advises Obama, the pentagon and world leaders. His ideas and thoughts are sought by them. You'll want to hear them. You won't agree with all of them, but you'll see the way the power holders think.
